Porsche Cayenne review
The last time Porsche developed a v8 engine was in 1995. This is when the 928 was discontinued. The Porsche Cayenne is a luxury mid sized 4x4 or sports utility vehicle. It is a strange one. You either love or you hate the Porsche Cayenne. Power is not an issue. It is currently the most powerful of the Porsche family of engines. It needs to be. It weighs over two and half tonnes. As for the styling and the looks, it does carry on the tradition of the 911 styled headlights
and if you concentrate on the actual dynamics of the body shell, it does resemble a Porsche. It is not cheap either. Entry level as of July 2007 is just short of the seventy five grand mark (United Kingdom pounds), but that does include V.A.T. Although it is set up as a 4x4, and does give really good performance, we wouldn't recommend off-roading in it. The tires are not set up for it. When the ground gets a bit rough, all grip goes. That is in the largest spec wheels, if you opt for a smaller wheel span, they
don't fit over the massive disk brakes!
